Waiser Costa is a Brazilian philosopher and author with a background in mechatronics engineering. His interconnected body of work is built around one thesis: reality is differentiation that stabilizes — difference is the minimum structural condition of anything being determinable at all, and the argument defends itself by retorsion: any denial of it already presupposes differences.

Ser é Diferença (2nd edition) is the foundational philosophical work. O Despertar para o real (Volume II, 2026) is the project’s pre-formal, illustrated essay, written before the theory reached its later systematic form: it starts from lived experience — identity, change, perception, suffering, consciousness, relationships, spirituality — and is not a scientific treatise, clinical theory or psychology manual. Matemática é Diferenciação — Da diferença irredutível ao número e à medida (Volume III, 2026) takes the thesis into mathematics: it rebuilds number and measure from irreducible non-equivalence, presupposing neither identity, nor order, nor actual infinity — working with potential infinity and a constructive internal logic, with the classical metatheory kept explicitly separate, across 33 chapters and four positioning appendices whose open problems are declared chapter by chapter. A Habilidade Cercada — Do gesto ao algoritmo (2026) argues that professions are human abilities progressively stabilized, transmitted, regulated and enclosed: the factory encloses the gesture; the platform encloses attention; AI encloses the trace.

Fiction (separate line of work)

A Torre do Brasil (2026) is a Brazilian LitRPG novel in 80 chapters, written also as a narrative bible for a manhwa adaptation: Gael Alves climbs a supernatural tower under a Fibonacci-based progression system, moving through Brazilian folklore and questions of governance. It does not belong to the Ser é Diferença project and states no philosophical position of the author.
